We are looking to appoint an Unqualified Teacher who aligns with our culture; is passionate about equity of opportunity; and has only the highest expectations for all members of our school community.
Ask yourself:
v Are you galvanised by the opportunity to inspire children in their educational journey?
v Are you committed to your own professional development?
v Do you believe in the power of a knowledge-rich curriculum?
v Do you want to join a phenomenally committed group of supportive professionals?
If the answer to these questions is ‘yes’, then we would love to hear from you.
The post is for up to 11.75 hours a week (across Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) starting on 5th January 2026 and is temporary in the first instance. It will require you to deliver PPA lessons across a variety of year groups.
You will need to share our commitment to delivering a knowledge-rich curriculum (which we believe is the entitlement of all our children, regardless of background or ability) and be tenacious in your support of the school’s most vulnerable pupils. The successful applicant will be required to liaise closely with Class Teachers and will be supported by Team Leaders.
At Cottenham Primary School we are committed to providing the best possible education, so that all children thrive and achieve. We believe that our children, families, staff and governors are of equal value, and we respect and appreciate the diversity they bring to our school community. We welcome our duties under the Equality Act 2010 to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Closing date for applications will be Friday 21st November 2025, with interviews planned for w/c 24th November 2025. Please return completed application forms to office@cottenham.cambs.sch.uk
