School meals are cooked in our own kitchen by a team from Lunchtime Co. They plan and organise menus which are nutritionally balanced, and which cater for a variety of dietary requirements. A menu for this term is available on this website (see below). Meals are served on a ‘cafeteria’ basis. Drinking water will also be available.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 in state-funded schools in England are eligible for free school meals (UFSM). The current entitlement to Free School Meals (FSM) will also continue to be available to all pupils whose parents receive certain benefits and who are registered to receive one.
It is very important that, if your child is entitled, you still register for Free School Meals under the current scheme. This will mean that the school will benefit from over £1000 additional funding each year for your child from central Government (Pupil Premium) and also that they will receive free meals when they are in years 3 – 6 (if you continue to be eligible). To register your child please visit the Cambridgeshire County Council website, where you can apply online or download the necessary form:

As from 1st September 2024, meals will cost £2.60 per day (£13.00 per week). Payment for school meals must be made using your MyChildAtSchool account.
Children may bring a packed lunch. Lunch boxes should be clearly labelled with the child’s name. Please do not send fizzy drinks or glass bottles into school. NB: As we have children with allergies, please do not send any nut based products to school!
We encourage all children to bring healthy food into school. Crisps, chocolate bars and sweets are discouraged. Children can bring a bottle of water into school and all KS1 children are provided with a mid morning snack of fruit.
