Welcome to the Summer Term in EYFS

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope that you all had a good Easter break and I’d like to welcome you back for the new term. This half term we have lots of exciting learning opportunities planned.   Our theme for the term is Growing and Changing and much of our work will be linked to this topic.  More details on this topic and the other areas of the curriculum are available on our Curriculum Map.

Outdoor Kit

This Term we are hoping to make the most of our outdoor learning areas both in the Octagon and our EYFS garden.  The children will be going out in all weathers, so please could I request that your child comes in appropriate outerwear, i.e  a raincoat for wet days and a sun hat for warm days. If your child brings sunscreen to school, this must be in a named bottle that is handed to a member of staff.  Please note that staff are not permitted to apply sunscreen to children.

PE Kit

We would also request that children come to school with the correct PE Kit.  Children should have black shorts and a white t-shirt and an optional plain black tracksuit for outdoor PE.  There should be no logos or pictures on PE kit.

As ever, if you have any questions, do get in touch via the school office,

Kind regards,

Lucy James
